| Boyce was born October 3, 1919, he was the 7th child born to Henry and Mollie (Hall) Stewart. He was born in Muldrow, Sequoyah County, Oklahoma at the Fred Tidwell Ranch where his father was a farmer and share cropper. He married Ethel Doris Holden in Feb. of 1939. They had one child a daughter, two grand children and two great-grand children and Boyce was very proud of his great-great-grand-daughter, 7 months old when he past. He is survived by a younger brother Billy Stewart. a younger sister Molly McClure, brother-in-law (big brother) Truman McClure, nieces, nephews, and cousins. his daughter Sharon, grand children Tim Sporer and Pamela Jean Harpster, two grand children Jacob Thomsen, Amantha Biederman, and baby Biederman. Boyce proudly served 18 months in the U.S. Army in World War Two. Upon his death he lived in Clearlake Lake County, California, USA. Boyce Stewart was interred September 21,2007 at the Sacramento Valley Veterans Affairs National Cemetery,
Dixon, Solano County, California, USA . |

A resident of Lower Lake, California, after moving from Gold Point, Nevada about 6 years ago. He lovedthe wide open spaces of the desert where he pursued his hobbies of staking claims and assaying the ore of old Nevada Gold mines. He loved the lore of the old west. He was an avid reader of Louis La'mour and had quite a collection, of his favorites he read two or three times.
His Parents were Henry Winfield Stewart and Mollie Alberta Hall. My dad was their 7th child of 12 children. He met and married Ethel Doris Holden in 1938. She
passed away in 1981 in Plumas County, California.
In his youth he worked as a farmer. Boyce went in to business as a dairy owner and operator. He succesfully started a feed and grain mill in Kingsburg, California
which he sold out, when he recieved his greetings from the US Army in 1943. The feed and grain mill is still in operation today. He worked as a Real Estate broker in
the late 40's, Moved to Alameda, California in 1952, and went to work at Todds Ship yard as a stage rigger He later went in to the scoffliding construction business.
He was a construction contractor in Hawaii for many years. 1960 he introduced Hawaii to the steel scoffolding for thier high rise buildings in Honolulu. At that time they were using all wood scoffolding. He is now survived by his younger brother Billy Lawton Stewart of Clearlake, California and sister Molly Ruth McClure of Selma, California. Also surviving, his daughter, Sharon Rose Reece of Lower Lake, Ca. two grand childen Timothy David Sporer, of Portland, Oregon, and Pamela Jean Harpster, of Lakeport. His great grandson Jacob Boyce Thomsen of Vallejo, California, and Great grand daughter Amantha Rose Biederman of Lakeport, Ca. Boyce was very proud of his first great great grand daughter Shayla Rose Biederman, now 7 mo's old. He also had and loved his many nieces and nephews. |
